Materials Chemistry Research Lab (MCRL)

Innovating the Future of Chemistry

At Materials Chemistry Research Lab, we push the boundaries of chemical research to solve real-world problems.

About Our Lab

The Materials Chemistry Research Lab (MCRL) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Chennai Campus, was established on 23 July 2024 as a dedicated hub for cutting-edge research in advanced materials and sustainable technologies. The lab’s core focus spans energy storage, electrochemistry, carbon capture and conversion, wastewater purification, and precious material purification, driven by innovative approaches in the synthesis and modification of polymers and nanomaterials. MCRL aims to integrate fundamental chemistry with practical engineering solutions, developing novel materials and processes that address critical challenges in clean energy, environmental remediation, and resource recovery, thereby contributing to both scientific advancement and societal benefit.
